URGENT UPDATE: Two members of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will make a thrilling appearance in Cleveland on Monday, showcasing their elite flying skills ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 Cleveland National Air Show scheduled for Labor Day weekend. Pilots Ronny Hafeza from Redondo Beach, California, and Lilly Montana from Vienna, Virginia, are set to conduct a dramatic flyover in their F/A-18 Super Hornets before landing at Burke Lakefront Airport at approximately 3:25 p.m.
This visit marks a significant moment for Cleveland, which is one of only 32 U.S. cities selected to host the Blue Angels in 2026. The pilots will meet with air show organizers and local agencies as part of their routine pre-season preparations. “We are thrilled to host the U.S. Navy Blue Angels for their pre-season visit,” said Kim Dell, Executive Director of the Air Show. “And we are proud to be a Salute Across America 250 signature event.”
During the air show, taking place from September 5 to 7, 2026, fans can look forward to an exhilarating one-hour, choreographed aerial demonstration featuring the iconic Diamond Formation and high-energy solo maneuvers that highlight the F/A-18’s remarkable speed and agility. The Blue Angels’ last appearance at the Cleveland National Air Show was in 2024, and they are known to visit the event every other year.
